A native of New Orleans, LA, Ryan has been trained in music and musical theory since the age of 4. In elementary school, Ryan was selected to be a part of the Gifted and Talented program, and perfected his love for playing the drums, among other instruments including the piano, bass guitar and wood and brass instruments.

After Hurricane Katrina, Ryan and his family moved to Alabama where he attended the Alabama School of Fine Arts. While in high school, he moved back to New Orleans where he finished the remaining years of high school at NOCCA (New Orleans Center for Creative Arts). Upon graduating, Ryan attended Dillard University where he earned a Bachelors of Arts in Music in 2016.

Ryan comes from a notable family of musicians who have been in the music industry for the past 50 years. With his family, Ryan has headlined stages in countries throughout the world including the Joy of Jazz Festival in South Africa, the Jazz Festival in Paris as well as the Accura stage at the New Orleans Jazz Festival.

Ryan has used his passion and talent of music to create a better world. Ryan led and participated in a exchange program where students in New Orleans and Johannesburg learned about music, history and the importance of culture. Ryan is also a full time music teacher at in New Orleans. In 2018, Ryan is launching an after school program to educate youth about getting into the music industry. He believes music is a catalyst for reengaging disconnected youth in the learning process.

Ryan also is the creator of Raw REV (Real Artists With Really Eccentric Views). Raw REV is a collective of 7 multi-talented artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. The group predominantly specializes in lively hip hop, but ventures throughout many genre’s of music. With the combination of a live band, an active show, and amazing entertainer skills Raw Rev, produces events, manages artists and produces music.

Through his company, Ryan has recorded, produced and engineered 3 musical projects and is anticipating the release of his fourth project by the end of 2017.
